WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T CLIMB TREES FOR A LIVING?
David Frost conducted a climbing demo for children at
Earth Day in the city of Wilmington's historic Rodney Square.
Rockford Park and in historic Rodney
Square. Mark Ware, sales arborist,
represented the Brandywine office.
From the Wilmington office, Jason
Gaskill, assistant district manager,
Mike Brough, climber and foreman,
Bill Graham, sales arborist, and
David Frost, climber, all participated
in the demonstrations.
Gaskill said the best part was "the
looks on their faces when they got to
see what we get to do, climbing trees."
The students must have enjoyed what
they saw, because the offices received
lots of fan mail, Gaskill said.
Davey Resource Group employees
replaced several trees at Encinitas
Community Park in Encinitas,
California, on Arbor Day.
The crew supported community
members during the planting by
educating them on proper tree
planting techniques and helping them
plant the trees, said Emmet Peak,
project manager.
Ami Guerrero, UVM lead specialist,
said he helped two children plant trees.
"They were amazed by the simple
things, like how photosynthesis
works," Guerrero said.
