Behounek joined DRG in 2001 as an inventory arborist. He moved into R/C services before transitioning back to DRG as an urban forester in the Midwest in 2006. In 2013 he was promoted to urban forestry coordinator and in 2018 was promoted to market manager. Behounek holds a bachelor's degree in forestry from Southern Illinois University, and he is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist ® and 2004 Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (D.I.T.S.) graduate. Steve Clawson has been promoted to operations manager, Utility services, Mid-Atlantic region. Clawson started his career with Davey as a trimmer on the South Carolina Gas & Electric account in 1985. He progressed through the ranks to foreman, general foreman and supervisor of the account. In 2000, Clawson was promoted to account manager of the Duke Energy account and then to area manager in the Mid-Atlantic in 2013. Clawson is a 1992 D.I.T.S. graduate. Elias Cortez has been promoted to skills trainer, Commercial Landscape Services, South and Mid-Atlantic. Cortez started his career with Davey as a crew leader in 2018 through the Elizabeth River Acquisition. He is a 2019 graduate of the Davey Institute of Grounds Management. Robert Ellis has been promoted to senior regional safety specialist, Southeast. Ellis joined Davey in 2003 as a utility line clearance trimmer on the Withlacoochee account and was promoted to foreman in 2004. In 2008, he became a general foreman on the account and was promoted to supervisor for Orlando Utilities in 2011. Ellis joined the corporate safety department in 2016. Tony Ferguson has been promoted to project manager of the Hunter Army Airfield MFH account. Maxwell Hackney has been appointed to regional safety specialist, corporate safety department, Florida. Elizabeth Lanham has been promoted to project manager, DRG, environmental consulting, Northern California. Anand Persad has been promoted to director of arboriculture and energy client programs for the Davey Institute. Persad joined Davey in 2003 as a technical advisor for the Davey Institute and most recently held the position of manager of plant science research. He is past president of the Arboricultural Research and Education Academy (AREA) and chair of the Utility Arborists Association (UAA) North American Research Committee. Persad received his Ph.D., master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of West Indies. Anand Persad Davey Institute Tyler Polanski has been promoted to senior environmental specialist, Conservation Land Stewardship, a Davey company. Kenny Rowe has been promoted to production manager, Utility services, Mid-Atlantic region. Rowe joined Davey in 1993 as a utility line clearance arborist on the SCE&G account. Since then, he held numerous positions before joining the corporate safety department in 2012. He was promoted to senior regional safety specialist for the Southern region in 2016. Sarah Ruark has been appointed to technical advisor over the South Central states for the Davey Institute. Erica Zellmann has been promoted to account manager, DRG, utility vegetation management, Pacific region. Zellmann joined DRG in 2015 on the Central Coast PG&E account and was promoted to Central Coast project manager in 2018. She holds an associate degree in biological, physical sciences and mathematics from Citrus College.
