As I have very little knowledge of tree care and maintenance, I was apprehensive about the whole process of having a company with an interest in selling me a service doing the assessment. Ryan Statham paid us a visit and all of my concerns were quickly addressed. His assessment was excellent in every way— he took a look at every tree on our property, and not only explained what was needed but also why it was needed, in clear language that a non-arborist could understand. I received not only an assessment from Ryan but also a valuable and interesting lesson in aspects of tree anatomy, strengths and weaknesses of different species in this area, etc. In speaking with Ryan, I definitely did not feel pushed into any services and came away from the meeting with confidence that his assess- ment was exactly what we needed. He did an excellent job of upselling your tree fertilization service without making this a hard sell. Ryan also spoke very highly of the Davey company multiple times during our visit with him. The crew who did the work was also very professional and did excellent work with meticulous cleanup. I am very happy with the work, and our pruned trees look great. I have been recommending Davey to friends and colleagues and have recommended they ask for Ryan specifically. He is a tremendous asset to your company. Over seven years it has grown tall, so I was mentally prepared for a reasonable trimming but expecting the entire experience to be an ordeal ending with Davey butchering my trees. I was 100 percent wrong. The Davey representative contacted me the day before coming to my house to schedule an appointment and ask that the gate be left unlocked. The next day, Davey promptly showed up and began their work. To my surprise, Davey did balance out my privacy needs with CenterPoint's mission to deliver uninterrupted power. They left as much privacy screen as possible. It is obvious that consideration and discretion were factored in on my behalf. I am hopeful now that the trees have been trimmed, that they may grow denser foliage at lower levels and provide more privacy. Before departing, the workers meticulously collected all of the trimmed branches and placed them on the curb for collection. I want to commend you and Davey for the entire operation. From scheduling through to cleanup, the program was well-run. I truly believe that CenterPoint's goal is to strike a fair balance between trees and reliable electric service.
