PLANTING THE SEED STRENGTHENS COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Seventeen Eastern Utility and U.S.
Rail employees completed Planting
the SEED, a leadership development
program. They met virtually to kick-off
the program, then met for a four-day
live session at the corporate office
in autumn.
Emilio Gomila Morejon, general
foreman, Mid-Carolina Electric
Cooperative account, who was
recently promoted to the role of
supervisor, said, "Planting the SEED
was a fantastic training. We learned
the importance of asking questions
and listening to each other in order
to hone our leadership skills."

"Beyond learning new skills and implementing best practices,
these training modules have forced me to stop and consider
if a decision I'm making in the field comes from a place of
understanding or is the result of routine," Keegan Ciarmello,
foreman, Albany office, said. "I always need to have a reason
behind what I ask of myself and my crew."
