"
Just one year after
I joined Davey, I
became an employee
owner," Medina said.
"It's about taking pride
in what you do. You
can work hard every
day, but are you proud
of that? If you feel
proud, most likely you
will do your job with
better quality. At the
end, I think every
single person at Davey
– you could be behind
a desk, you could be
behind a chainsaw,
you could be behind
a GPS device – we all
are working really
hard for one goal.

Scott Berg, motor carrier safety specialist,
retired from the U.S. Navy on May 1. Berg
ended his 26-year Naval career as a Senior
Chief Petty Officer. On April 8, a ceremony
celebrating his retirement was held at the
Navy Operational Support Center in Saginaw,
Michigan. Tim Cheever (left), motor carrier
safety support manager, came to the
ceremony from Georgia to represent Davey
at the ceremony.
Berg said his retirement is a bittersweet
moment. He will miss the comradery, training
other crew members and trying to make the
Navy better. Throughout his Naval career,
he was stationed at Bare Island, California,
Norfolk, Virginia, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and
he was able to see the world. "I enjoyed my
Navy time and I wouldn't change anything if
I had to do it all over again," Berg said.
"No regrets for the time I spent in it."
Congratulations Scott on your retirement,
and thank you for your service.
