12 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | January/February 2018 PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL GATHERS FOR BI-ANNUAL MEETING Four new members have been appointed to the Davey President's Council. The new members are: Gordon Church, area manager, Eastern Utility; Damon McKissick, account manager, Western Utility; Brian O'Niel, market manager, Residential/ Commercial North Chicago operating group; Phil Snyder, vice president, R/C East Atlantic operations. The council members serve a three- year term on various committees, which brainstorm and research new ideas related to the company's operations and present them to the council for review. The council, which reports to President and CEO Pat Covey, then passes many such ideas on to Davey management for further development or implementation. LEADERS IN CLS GET ADVANCED TRAINING AT SEMINAR Attendees of the CLS Advanced Leadership Training session included: Shawn Chalker, Steve Copciac, Brandon Craft, Paul Dolan, Matt French, Steve Hovan, Brenden Lowe, Skylar Mason, Treven Pratt, Jake Snelling, Chad Tyson, Mike Wade, Monica Wirick, Mike Woolsey and Jose Zaragoza. Commercial Landscape Services (CLS) hosted their annual Advanced Leadership Training session at the Davey Institute. Mark Svozil, senior vice president, CLS, said the goal of the training is to focus on personal development and create new leaders in the service line. "We try to help them find new ways to utilize their strengths to coach and lead others," Svozil said. "It was a great class and I definitely feel there are some future leaders in the group."
