wonder. Stutzman hopes to fertilize
the tree on an annual basis to assure
its health and history. "That is really
the best thing we can do for this tree.
We want to set it up for success, give
it the nutrients it needs and make
sure this landmark keeps standing,"
Stutzman said.
Wetterau, the catalyst for the project,
along with her entire garden club,
was thrilled.
"I think this is wonderful of Davey
Tree," Wetterau said in an interview
with the local paper, The Royalton Post.
"This tree has been in the city unloved
for 25 years, and now with the city's
bicentennial coming up, here we are
recognizing we have some things that
are worth taking care of."
