Terry joined Davey in 1989 and has held numerous positions in both the field and the administrative office, most recently as operations manager of the south- western region. In 2007 Terry was a recipient of The Best of Davey Leadership Award at the National Managers' Meeting. He is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and Utility Spe- cialist, holds green industry related certifications and is a past member of the President's Council. Terry has a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University. Gordon Matthews has been promoted to market manager, East Central Operating Group, U.S. R/C Services. Gordon started his Davey career in 1982 as a lawn care technician in the North Detroit office, advancing to assistant district manager in 1985 and then transferring as assistant district manager to the Akron office in 1989. In 1996 he was promoted to district manager at the Akron office. He is an International Society of Arbo- riculture Certified Arborist, a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (D.I.T.S.) and a past member of the President's Council. Greg Myers has been promoted to vice president, operations for Com- mercial Landscape Services. Greg was branch manager at the Detroit South/ West location and most recently was regional manager for the Midwest Region. In 2013, Greg received the Outstanding Manager Award at the National Managers' Meeting. Kevin Peters has been promoted to vice president, western operating group, U.S. R/C Services, Western operating group. Peters will oversee R/C services in several Western states, including California, Nevada, Washington and Oregon. He has more than 27 years of experience in the field of arboriculture, including with The Care of Trees, where he served both as a district manager and regional manager. In 2010, he was promoted to operations manager for Davey's Western operating group R/C services. Peters is an International Society of Arboriculture Board Certified Master Arborist, the highest level of certification offered. He also served as a past member of the Davey President's Council. Mark Svozil has been promoted to senior vice president, Commercial Landscape Services. Mark joined Davey in 1992 as a landscape foreman in the West Cleveland R/C office. In 1995 he was promoted to landscape management coordinator and then account manager at the Northeast Ohio Commercial Landscape Services territory. In 2001 he was promoted to branch manager, and later became an operations manager, Midwest region. His most recent position was vice president. He is a D.I.T.S. graduate, recipient of the Best of Davey Leadership Award and the Achievements in Safety Award at the 2013 National Managers' Meeting and past member of the President's Council.
