24 | January/February 2016 Tony Brugger has been promoted to assistant district manager at The Care of Trees (TCOT) Naperville office. Brugger has worked for TCOT and Davey throughout his entire career. He has held various positions with TCOT and Davey, and he worked at TCOT Naperville office prior to his recent promotion. Brugger graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences in 2012, and he is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist. Mike Burton has been promoted to branch manager of the Colorado Springs CLS territory. Burton has 27 total years of experience in the landscape industry. He has worked as a crew leader for three years at the Cleveland East CLS territory. As a Davey Institute of Grounds Management graduate, Burton has also attended the CLS Advanced Leadership Training during his Davey career. Kolby Corrigan has been promoted to sales arborist at the Washington, D.C. R/C office. Anna Davis has been promoted to manager of human resources administration at the corporate office. Davis began her Davey career in 2002 as a records specialist at the corporate office. She has held several positions within the human resources depart- ment, including benefits specialist, supervisor of group benefits, senior supervisor of employee benefits and assistant manager of human resourc- es, her most recent position. Davis earned her bachelor's degree in business and organizational communications from the University of Akron. She completed her executive MBA at Kent State University in 2008. Kathy Doody has been appointed to manager of employee development at the corporate office. Doody joined Davey in 1993 as tax manager, a position she held until 2001 when she was promoted to manager of human resources administration. In her new role, Doody will focus on a collaborative approach to establishing, implementing and monitoring all aspects of Davey's talent management programs. Her responsibilities will involve onboarding, performance management, goal management, mentoring, succession planning and recognition programs. Daniel Krug has been promoted to assistant district manager at the Chicago The Care of Trees office. Krug was previously a sales arborist at The Care of Trees (TCOT) Chicago office. He is an Illinois ISA certified arborist. Charles Shonts has been promoted to district manager at The Care of Trees (TCOT) Naperville office. Shonts began his Davey career at TCOT Glen Ellyn office in 2008. He was promoted to production manager at TCOT West Chicago office in 2012, and then he transferred to TCOT Naperville office in 2013. Shonts was promoted to assistant district manager at the same office in May 2015. Shonts is a 2010 Davey Institute of Tree Sciences graduate, as well as a certified tree care safety professional. Auxilio Tovar has been promoted to district manager at The Care of Trees (TCOT) Chicago office. Tovar began his TCOT career in 2002 as a groundman in the same office. Ever since, he has held several posi- tions, including production manager at TCOT Crystal Lake office. In 2013, Tovar returned to TCOT Chicago office, where he was promoted to assistant district manager.
