Motulu, Keawe, Tereni and Hoku (Kaleikaumaka) were assigned to remove a large tree from my property for Hawaiian Electric Company. I could not ask for better work. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, got the tree down safely and cleaned up. They were friendly and polite and knew what they were doing. They were also safety conscious and used personal protective equipment, as well as followed procedures for the safe operation of their lift buckets and chipper. Peter J. In addition, the crew was responsive to my request regarding how to handle the stumps— an area that didn't impinge on higher priorities (e.g. safety)—and then proceeded to exceed my expectations of their own initiative. On one of those very cold days here this past February, he assisted a woman and her two-year-old son by jump-starting her car. Not having cables when they were approached by her, John purchased a set at a nearby store. After getting her car started, he gave the woman the cables in case she had problems before she was able to get the battery replaced. Atiba carried out a most judicious and difficult trimming, which has made my birch look like new, despite very severe damage from the ice storm last winter. I never thought that would be possible. The other two young men, Aaron and Octavian, did the most meticulous trimming of branches from my large Norway maple that potentially could have damaged our roof and our enormous blue spruce. I would also like to thank Miles Peart who gave very professional advice about the extent of the work that could be done on the birch tree and the outcome we could expect.
