New Leaders Join President's Council
A
s part of the company's plan to continue
its strategic growth, Davey has announced
the acquisition of certain assets of Kerns
Brothers Tree Service & Landscaping, a
residential tree care company based in
Wilmington, Delaware.
The acquisition is Davey's eighth since the
beginning of 2014 and the second in 2015.
"Davey will service Kerns Brothers' clients,
continuing to capitalize on the valuable name
and reputation of Kerns Brothers Tree Service
& Landscaping in Delaware, Maryland and
eastern Pennsylvania markets," says Jim Stief,
executive vice president, U.S. residential opera-
tions, adding that Davey is committed to future
growth—organically and through acquisitions.
Davey's Wilmington Market Reach Expands
"We will continue to focus on high-quality
companies with customer demographics that
are similar to our own, within markets where
we want to grow density," he says. "Our intent
is always to pick up talented, safety-conscious
employees intent on providing a high level of
customer service."

The President's Council's June meeting welcomed four new members: Scott Carlin, Ken Clear, Kevin Dykstra and Michael McCollum. To
develop ideas and initiatives for the benefit of the company, new members will collaborate with existing members, including Natascha
Batchelor, Ray Betz, Mark Calko, Chris Deathe, James Hartzell, Scott Heim, Scott Hyland and Mike Mittiga.
