T
he ABCs of the green industry are
valuable to all Davey field employees
and beyond—an educated workforce largely
attributed to instructors from colleges and
universities all over the U.S. and Canada.
To thank just a few urban forestry and
horticulture program coordinators for their
efforts in supporting Davey's next generation
of "green" leaders, Manager of Recruiting and
Training, Mark Noark invited four program
advisors to visit the company's corporate
offices and other service locations in northeast
Ohio, including the Davey Resource Group
offices in downtown Kent and the Akron
R/C office.

News from Davey's corporate office.
Just like brand new! After Davey's
Kent shop employees refurbished
and repainted a "retired" bucket
truck, corporate employees decided
to donate the vehicle to Kent
State University, located in Kent,
Ohio. The university's facilities
management crew will use the
truck for tree maintenance on the
main campus. Pictured from left,

facilities management, Roy
Christian, joins Heather White, the
university's grounds manager, Nick
Sucic, Davey's vice president and
controller, Craig Holcomb, Davey's
vice president of operations
support services, and Boyd Moore,
Davey's Kent shop supervisor,
for the key exchange in July.
