Transitions
Jed Day has been promoted to vice
president and general manager for the
R/C service line. He will be responsible
for sales and marketing activities in the
newly created western operations consist-
ing of existing southwest and eastern
operating groups as well as the eastern
and western Chicago-based operations.
He has held various positions within the
utility and R/C service lines, most recently
vice president of western operations.
He is a 1983 graduate of DITS, a past
President's Council member and was a
recipient of the Outstanding Manager
award at the 2000 and 2007 National
Managers' Meetings. He has a bachelor
of science degree in urban forestry from
Stephen F. Austin State University.
Gary Allen has been promoted to supervisor
on the Consumers Energy account.
Johl Anderson has been promoted to
district manager at the
new Toronto Northwest
office. Johl began his
career in 2008 as a fore-
man in the Muskoka
office, later becoming a
sales representative and
then assistant district
manager. His most recent
position was assistant district manager at the
Toronto West office. He is a graduate of
Humber College's Urban Forestry program
and a DITS graduate. He is an ISA Certified
Arborist and a Certified Utility Arborist.
Todd Armstrong has been promoted to
district manager at the
new North Baltimore
office. Todd began his
Davey career in 1996 in
the Baltimore office and
has held various positions,
including his most recent
position as assistant
district manager. He has an associate's degree
in forest technology from the Allegany
College of Maryland. He is a DIHS and
DITS graduate and is a Maryland Licensed
Tree Expert and an ISA Certified Arborist.
Fred Awad has been promoted to general
foreman on the FirstEnergy account.
Sean Barlette has been promoted to district
manager at the new
Northwest Detroit office.
Sean began his Davey
career in 1990 in the
Akron office, serving in
different aspects of field
operations. In 2010 he
transferred to the West
Cleveland office where he
played a key role in the overall success of that
office. He is a DITS and DIHS graduate.
Josh Behounek has been promoted to
coordinator for the eastern urban forestry
business team for Davey Resource Group.
Glenn Bell has been promoted to account
manager on the Duke
account. He began his
Davey career in 1995 as
a spray technician. He
has been a crew foreman,
general foreman and most
recently a supervisor.
Adam Benshoff has been promoted to site
manager for the Ohio Ecological Restoration
Services for Davey Resource Group.
Joe Berg has been promoted to assistant
district manager at the East Bay office.
Justin Burger has been promoted to sales
arborist at the Toledo office.
Mark Calko has been appointed operations
manager for the Utility Services northeast area.
