7 March/April 2026 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN Davey Names Schoenberger President of Davey Tree Surgery The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Erika Schoenberger to the position of President of the Davey Tree Surgery Company. "Erika continues to be a critical component of the company's strategic initia- tives, and this expanded role is another recognition of her unique skill set that elevates both the company and the people on her team," said Davey Chairman, President and CEO Pat Covey. With this promotion, Davey is aligning all its U.S. utility line clearance services underneath Schoenberger's role as president of the Surgery Company. Kevin Peters, vice president and general manager of the Surgery Company, and Mike Mittiga, vice president and general manager, Eastern Utility services, will both report to Schoenberger in this new role. Schoenberger will also continue to serve as General Counsel, an officer and secretary for The Davey Tree Expert Company and all its subsidiaries. With over 20 years of legal experience, Schoenberger joined Davey in 2018 as vice president and general counsel. She previously worked at the Oneida Group, Inc., based in Columbus, Ohio, where she held general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president positions. Schoenberger serves on policy committees for the Tree Care Industry Association and the National Association of Landscape Professionals and participates in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Women's General Counsel Subcommittee and Deloitte's Board Ready Women program. Schoenberger is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in English from the College of Wooster. She was recognized in 2014 with an Ohio State Moritz College of Law Outstanding Recent Alumni Award. CAL ENGINEERING JOINS DAVEY RESOURCE GROUP Davey Resource Group (DRG) has acquired Cal Engineering Solutions, Inc. and its sister companies, reinforcing Davey's long-standing commitment to the electric utility industry. Cal Engineering, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, and provides design and engineering services for electric utilities, transmission companies, and commercial clients. Services include the design, analysis and modification of transmission and distribution lines, towers, lattice structures, poles and foundations. All of Cal Engineering's nearly 200 employees will join DRG's Utility Asset Management division. "What stood out immediately was the strength of their people," Scott Carlin, vice president and general manager, Utility Asset Management (UAM), DRG, said. "Their work ethic, attention to detail, technical knowledge and commitment to delivering solutions that meet client needs align closely with how we operate." The addition of Cal Engineering and its affiliated companies enhances Davey Resource Group's capacity to support utilities with engineering solutions, particularly with power transmission infrastructure. "From the beginning, my priority was making sure our employees had a place to go that truly values people and clients and could provide the resources needed to support the growing demands of our transmission clients," said Frank Noori, owner of Cal Engineering Solutions, Inc.
