4 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | March/April 2026 ASK THE CEO tation Management, it became clear that we could better leverage the robust talent, skillsets and experience within DRG to foster growth in new and emerging service areas. As the leader of this growth engine entity, Brent Repenning has been named President, Specialized Services and Emerging Businesses. The Specialized Services and Emerging Businesses segment is intended to easily incorporate other services, components and businesses as we may develop them internally or acquire firms that don't fit neatly into either the Utility line clearance or Residential/Commercial operations. The entity structure of the business offers more flexibility for creative growth orientation in consultative and emerging services, and those are all qualities that align well with the current Davey Resource Group operations and the skillset and experience Brent has. There are also regulatory, business and contractual advantages to this, as well as opportunities for efficient scaling of corporate shared services. The strategic plan committee's analysis highlighted several ways we can better protect parts of the company from areas that carry higher levels of operational risk. The committee's review also prompted the consolidation of all our utility line clearance operations on the East and West coasts under the same entity. Because we're generating nearly $2 billion in revenue annually, the Davey Strategic Plan Vision 2030 committee reviewed opportunities to streamline how some operations report up through the broader Davey Company structure to the CEO. Primarily, we are reorganizing our core Utility, Residential/ Commercial and Davey Resource Group (DRG) operations into separate legal entities, as they have different clients, different markets and different operational leadership. This will empower our different business units to better compete in the markets they serve. The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited has been working in Canada as its own separate entity both operationally and financially for decades. As such, it made sense to name James Doyle President, Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada. Frankly, James has already been fulfilling the responsibilities of that role and is officially getting the title, and it is well deserved. As we considered the core elements of DRG and the varied nature of its operations, which span from Environmental Consulting to Utility Asset Management and Utility Vege- Q.
