18 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | September/October 2025 PERSEVERANCE On Kevin Bartosh's first day at Davey, he got right to work with Davey Commercial Landscape Services (CLS) teams, installing wood chips in mulch beds at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C., as part of the National Association of Landscape Professionals' Renewal & Remembrance volunteer service event. Davey has participated in this event and worked with the NALP for years, completing work ranging from mulching to landscape planting on sites such as the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. Bartosh said this work lives out John Davey's motto of "Do it right or not at all." "It's a great way to get out in the field, connect with nature, network with fellow landscape contractors and vendors, and it just leaves you feeling like you did something to help the community and commemorate those who have had an impact on our society," Bartosh, sales arborist, Nashville CSR account, CLS, said. "Being able to help preserve these beautiful monument's grounds is a great way to truly give back." CLS CREWS KEEP IMPORTANT U.S. SITE BEAUTIFUL Employees who participated in this year's NALP event: • Mike Arthur, assistant branch manager, Montgomery County Maintenance territory • Kevin Bartosh, commercial sales representative, Nashville CSR territory • Mary Kirby, sales manager, Mid-Atlantic CSR territory • Brenden Lowe, branch manager, Alexandria/D.C. territory • Josh Piquette, market manager, Mid-Atlantic territory • Seth Schiever, marketing coordinator, Atlantic Marketing SMA territory DAVEY STOCK PROGRAMS TO GET DIGITAL UPGRADES An exciting enhancement to the Davey shareholder experience is coming soon. Davey is partnering with Principal Financial to manage the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and other Davey stock programs. In early 2026, shareholders will be able to fully view and manage their Davey stock through Principal's secure website, including making stock transactions. As part of this transition, the company will no longer issue paper stock certificates. All shares, including historical and future certificates, will be recorded electronically within each shareholder's Principal account. This change will enhance our shareholder experience and further align with the company's long-term growth strategy. Davey's Treasury department will continue to support our shareholders as the point of contact for employee-ownership items. And, while management of the stock programs is a new partnership, Principal is already a trusted Davey partner, as they currently administer our 401KSOP Program. "Partnering with Principal is going to be a real value-add to employ- ee ownership at Davey," said Chris Bast, senior vice president, treasurer and operations support. "Giving shareholders self-service access to their Davey stock, while still maintaining the familiar customer service aspect from our Treasury team is an experience that we are really looking forward to providing." YOU SHOULD KNOW CLS crews help upkeep the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C., at a volunteer event hosted by the National Association of Landscape Professionals. The stock window is open for transactions through Nov. 28, 2025. This will be the last open window that shareholders will mail in paper stock certificates to sell. Starting in 2026, all transactions will be made through the Principal site. Further information on this change will continue to be shared through DaveyConnect. Retirees will get updates through the Alumni Newsletter and email.
