4 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | July/August 2025 MORE CLARITY AROUND CAREER ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND TRAINING When it comes to training opportunities, we feel we provide a tremendous number of programs. Davey offers as many training opportunities as any other company in our industry, if not more. But, we recognize that the communication and awareness of these opportunities can be improved, along with a clearer roadmap for advancing through the training options. Our focus will be on communicating to employees how they can access and take advantage of those training resources, as well as identifying educational resources important to them in their career journey at Davey. The role you strive for next, the promotion or job you ultimately want to work towards and achieve, we want to do a better job of packaging and connecting what types of training, education, and personal development will help you get there. NEED FOR IMPROVED MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT Many responders cited the need for improved equipment. This is good information, but we need further clarity on specifically what equipment issues need to be addressed, to ensure that we are focusing on the right areas when it comes to equipment. Essentially, does "equipment" mean trucks, chippers or computers, or does "equipment" mean safety glasses, high-visibility vests and safety cones? To gain more clarity, we will ask field employees to complete a brief pulse survey on DaveyConnect to provide additional details on this topic. Please watch for and complete the survey when you see it distributed in August. A. First, thank you to everyone who completed the 2025 Employee Experience Survey. We hit our goal of a 30% return rate, which was well above what our consultants had anticipated. A large part of what we learned from your feedback is that our company is doing many things right in our journey to meet our strategic plan objective to "make Davey a great place to work while delivering client and shareholder value." From an engagement standpoint, our outside consultants have told us that we are in the upper tier of companies they have worked with, based on an initial engagement survey, which is great! While we have many great cultural elements in place, we know that we can always be better. We truly appreciate your direct input through the engagement survey, which provided invaluable insight into ways to improve. To make sure these insights receive the prop- er attention and resources, we've incorporated three of the top findings from your survey feedback into the Davey Strategic Plan Vision 2030. We heard your message, took your recommendations to heart, and will work on addressing them over the next year. Please remember that this is a process, and while some items can be addressed quickly, it will take some time to make sure we implement the best, most consistent, and most effective long-term approaches to accomplishing some of the other items identified in the survey. The three items that were mentioned the most from the survey that you were looking for us to improve in were: Q. WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED FROM THE EMPLOYEE SURVEY?
