CLEARER, QUICKER RESPONSES FROM
SUPPORT SERVICES AND CORPORATE
The third-most widely requested item through the survey
was for a clearer and quicker way to get your questions
answered when communicating with our corporate support
offices. Our focus will be on clarifying who to contact and
where to reach out to at corporate for different needs and
creating clear and consistent expectations for responding
to your inquiries.
My strong belief is that providing a timely and helpful
response to our field services is non-negotiable. We simply
must be able to do this. Most departments do a really good
job with this already. But, we also recognize that as we
expand, as time zones play an increasingly more important
role, and as the complexity of the business grows, we need
to explore different ways to deliver timely responses. We're
committed to implementing more guidance, consistency
and structure around the timing and responsiveness of
support services.
The objective of our strategic plan is to make Davey a great
place to work. A large part of that is instilling a sense of
belonging, and this sense of belonging can be dramatically
increased by ensuring that when you need help, when you
need direction on how to further your career, when you
need assistance on the equipment and gear you're using,
that help is provided by the Company and our leaders.
An early step we have taken to assist in addressing the
three items above is to enlist the support of Davey's
President's Council representatives. By leveraging their
experiences and solutions that they implement in their own
operations throughout the company, we will gain further
insight into how to improve in these areas and ultimately
help provide our employees with the solutions they seek.
Those three items, at their core, are about fulfilling our
mission to make Davey a great place to work. A high
percentage of you said that we are winning that battle,
but there is always room for improvement, and we will
always strive for that.
