26 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | March /April 2025 RETIREMENTS Robert Craft retired Feb. 1, 2025, following 43 years of service. He joined Davey in 1981 as a landscape technician, Northwest Virginia office, Residential/Commercial (R/C) services. After serving in various roles in R/C services, Craft transferred to Dulles territory, Commercial Landscape Services (CLS), in 2000, and served in various roles in CLS. Steven Craig retired Jan. 1, 2025, following 35 years of service. He joined Davey in 1989 as a trimmer trainee, Duquesne Light account, Eastern Utility services. In 1999, Craig was promoted to foreman, FirstEnergy account, and served in various roles in the following years. He returned to the FirstEnergy account as a foreman in 2012 and staying there until retirement. Todd Crandall retired Jan. 5, 2025, following 27 years of service. He joined Davey in 1997 as a wetlands scientist, Davey Resource Group (DRG). After serving in various roles, Crandall was promoted to senior associate consultant, Environmental Consulting services, DRG, in 2018, and stayed there until retirement. Robert Freeman retired Feb. 1, 2025, following 29 years of service. He joined Davey in 1994 as a PHC technician, Northwest Chicago office, R/C services, before being promoted to trimmer in 1995. After serving in various roles, Freeman was promoted to sales arborist in 2020 and stayed there until retirement. Martin Gamboa retired Feb. 1, 2025, following 25 years of service. He joined Davey in 1999 as a foreman, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Northern account, Davey Tree Surgery Company. After serving in various Surgery Company roles, he transferred to the Southern California Edison Tree Trimming account in 2017. In 2022, he became a climber and stayed in that role until retirement. Bradley McCumber retired Dec. 29, 2024, following 37 years of service. He joined Davey as a spray technician, Northeast Chicago office, R/C services, in 1987. After serving in various roles, McCumber became an assistant district manager, Northwest Chicago office, in 1996. In 2007, he was promoted to district manager, Lake Bluff office. He became a sales arborist in 2016 and stayed there until retirement. Kevin Weston retired Jan. 3, 2025, following 30 years of service. He joined Davey as part of the acquisition of The Care of Trees in 2008 as a sales arborist, King of Prussia office, R/C services. Weston was promoted to assistant district manager in 2022 and stayed in that role until retirement.
