5 March /April 2025 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN DRIVER CAMERA SAFETY PROGRAM ROLLOUT UNDER WAY YOU SHOULD KNOW All Davey road vehicles that have a license plate will be equipped with road-and- driver-facing cameras as part of the new Davey Motive Telematics/Camera Driver Safety Platform. The rollout of the Davey Motive Telematics/Camera Driver Safety Platform will start in Q2 of this year, with the installation of camera equipment in vehicles. The rollout and install timeline will vary by company service line, but all company operations are anticipated to have the platform installed and operational in 2025. Using AI, the system can detect driving violations while the vehicles are running, such as drivers not wearing a seatbelt, using their phone while driving, following too closely, and other violations. In-cab audible alerts will provide drivers with the opportunity to self-correct and prevent a recording of certain incidents from being documented. Training will be available to employees both during in-person training sessions and online training. All employees who are approved drivers who drive a vehicle as part of their work duties will be trained on the platform. R/C EXPANDS IN COLORADO AND OHIO Davey expanded its Residential/Commercial (R/C) services operations in Fort Collins, Colorado, and North Royalton, Ohio, through the opening of two R/C offices, and has promoted Dave Johnson to district manager of the South Fort Collins office, and Eric Phillips to district manager of the Northwest Cleveland office. Jed Day, executive vice president and general manager, U.S. Residential operations, said "Our R/C operations across the country continue to grow, and the Cleveland and Fort Collins markets have shown tremendous opportunities for expansion to service more clients. I'm confident the addition of these new offices will amplify the Davey brand and continue to serve our clients with sustainable, proven solutions."
