THE DAVEY BULLETIN
|
January/February 2025
LEADERSHIP
The Davey SEED (Science, Employee Education and Development) Campus is scheduled to open to employees
later in 2025. Throughout this year's issues of the Bulletin, employees will get a glimpse of parts of the property
as they continue to progress toward the opening.
In January, a new blog launched on Davey.com that will feature regular updates on the SEED Campus
construction. Scan this QR code to go to the blog. Make sure to check the blog often, as well as DaveyConnect
and social media, for more SEED Campus news.
SEED CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION ENTERS HOME STRETCH
The back wall of the main building lobby is glass,
separated by large "fins" made of reclaimed wood
from the property. The 14 floor-to-ceiling "fins" are
30 feet tall and 6 inches thick and are designed to
filter sunlight and create shade in the lobby. These are
made of maple slabs. In addition to the stair treads
on the main lobby staircase, at right, there will be
reclaimed, live edge wood throughout the building.
"Bill," a border collie British
herding dog, works full-time
at the SEED Campus as a
deterrent to keep geese
from landing on the property,
particularly near the pond.
