30 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | November/December 2022 Jessika Mitchell is now serving as the chairperson for the Women in Arboriculture (WIA) Western Chapter International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Committee. This was her third year as an assistant instructor for the annual WIA Tree Climbing Workshop. Mitchell is a project coordinator, geospatial and software support services, Davey Resource Group (DRG). Congratulations Jessika! Tim Walsh was elected as President of the Utility Arborist Association's (UAA) executive board. Walsh will serve a one-year term. UAA is an organization that supports its members interested in and committed to the maintenance of trees and other vegetation for the purpose of "ensuring the safe and reliable distribution of energy, including electric, oil and gas, to businesses and residences." Walsh is director, health and safety department. Congratulations, Tim! Zane Raudenbush was elected to serve on the Ohio Lawn Care Association's (OLCA) board of trustees. OLCA serves the "lawn care industry by providing essential resources for its members," according to the OLCA website. Raudenbush is a turfgrass and herbicide specialist, Davey Institute. Congratulations, Zane! Davey was awarded the Campaign Champion of the Year Award by the United Way of Portage County, Ohio. This award recognizes an organization that "exemplifies what it means to support United Way of Portage County through a workplace campaign." Davey is proud to support the United Way of Portage County and its efforts to support the Portage County community. Thank you to all who participate in the United Way campaign! Morgan Conrad received her Certified Safety Professional ® (CSP ® ) certification. To receive this certification, one must "demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of safety practices and the skills required for practical implementation," according to the Board of Certified ® Safety Professionals website. Conrad is a senior health and safety support specialist, health and safety department. Congratulations, Morgan! Tara Costanzo received the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Rocky Mountain Chapter's Arborist of the Year Award. She was recognized for her volunteer efforts and promoting arboriculture. Costanzo is a recruiter, corporate recruiting department. Congratulations, Tara! Davey Chairman, President and CEO Pat Covey was a panelist during the Main Stage Industry Leaders Panel during the ELEVATE conference and expo presented by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).
