Clayton Cole, retiree, passed
away Dec. 3, 2021. Cole retired
in 2001 as Residential eastern
operations manager following 45
years of service. Cole started with
Davey in 1956 in New York as a
groundperson and held positions
of foreman, sales representative,
district manager and area manager.
He was a 1960 D.I.T.S. graduate.
Paul Daniel, retiree, passed away
Nov. 19, 2021. Daniel retired in
1989 as executive vice president
and general manager of the
Tim Brown retired Nov. 6, 2021, fol-
lowing 31 years of service. Brown was
manager, field safety support. Brown's
career at Davey started as a climber in
1990. He joined the safety department
in 1998 as a regional safety specialist
and earned several promotions, includ-
ing to senior regional safety specialist
in 2012, and assistant manager, field
safety support and manager, field
safety support, in 2020.
Len Burkhart retired Dec. 31, 2021,
following 30 years of service. Burkhart
was technical advisor, western region,
Davey
Institute. Burkhart's career at
Davey started in 1991 as a technical
advisor for offices in the Midwest
region.
Ron Morrison retired Sept. 12, 2021,
following 2 years of service.
Morrison was a trimmer on the
Green Mountain Power account.
John Raithel retired March 28, 2021,
following 10 years of service. Raithel
was a plant health care coordinator
in the Crystal Lake office.
Davey Tree Surgery Company after
41 years of service. Daniel started
with Davey in 1948 as a fieldman
and would later transfer to the
Livermore office in 1969. He was
appointed chief supervisor in
1972, vice president-field operations
in 1973, and senior vice president
in 1984.
We are saddened by the passing
of Ruben Olivera on Sept. 6, 2021.
Olivera was a groundperson on the
Duke Energy account.

Larry Kibble, retiree, passed
away Sept. 29, 2021. Kibble retired
in 2012 as a foreman on the United
Electric account after 39 years
of service.
We are saddened by the passing of
Enrique Santana on Nov. 5, 2021.
Santana joined Davey in August.
James E. Sheppard, Sr., retiree,
passed away Nov. 3, 2021.
Sheppard retired in 2003 as a
senior supervisor on the Georgia
Power account following 42 years
of service.
We are saddened by the passing
of Chad Tyson on Nov. 6, 2021.
Tyson was a project manager in
the Plano territory.
