Rick Orwig has been promoted to district manager, North Virginia East office and Mid-Atlantic Tree Preservation territories. Orwig joined Davey in the Gaithersburg, Maryland, residential office when Davey acquired The Care of Trees in 2003. In 2008, Orwig was promoted to district manager of Davey's Mid-Atlantic Tree Preservation & Land Restoration office. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® , a TCIA CTSP and holds an ISA TRAQ certification. Benjamin Peterson IV has been promoted to account manager, DRG, UAM. Samuel Prestidge has been promoted to account manager, DRG, UVM, Mid-Atlantic region. Thomas Pysher has been promoted to regional operations manager, DRG, UAM. Pysher joined Davey in 2012 and served in numerous positions before being promoted in 2018 to account manager, and then to area manager in 2019. He is a 2015 graduate of the Davey Tree Safety Leadership Program and is part of the Utility Asset Management Operational Excellence Team. Pysher studied forestry and wildlife management at Hocking College. Mark Rettig has been promoted to director, DRG, UVM business development and Eastern operations. Rettig joined Davey in 2002 as a residential trimmer in Toledo, Ohio. In 2013, he joined DRG as a project developer, and then in 2018 was promoted to market manager. Rettig is an ISA Certified Arborist ® and Utility Specialist ® and holds an associate degree in forestry from Hocking College. He is a member of both the DRG UVM strategic planning team and DRG strategic leadership team. Dustin Rhoades has been promoted to account manager, DRG, UVM, Northeast region. Jonah Schwartz has been promoted to area manager, DRG, UVM, Pacific region. Schwartz joined Davey in 2012 on the Asian Longhorned Beetle account in Massachusetts. After a series of promotions, he was promoted in 2018 to project manager on the PG&E North Bay account. In 2019, he was promoted to account manager, then transferred to UVM, Pacific region. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® and holds a bachelor's degree in forestry from the University of Vermont. Jim Sienkiewicz has been promoted to project manager, DRG, UVM, Pacific region. Justin Stone has been promoted to project manager, DRG, UVM, Mid-Atlantic region. Joseph K. Tommasi has been promoted to account manager, DRG, UAM. David Williams has been promoted to district manager, Kitchener office. Williams joined Davey in 2008 as a seasonal employee at the Mississauga R/C office. In 2013, he became a permanent employee as a groundperson, followed by promotions to climber, foreman, sales arborist and assistant district manager. Williams graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (D.I.T.S.) in 2016. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® and Utility Specialist ® and holds a Landscape Exterminators License from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
