27 May/June 2021 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN TRANSITIONS Douglas Akers has been promoted to account manager, Davey Resource Group (DRG), Utility Asset Management construction services, North operations. Thomas Anderson has been promoted to district manager, Buffalo office. Anderson joined Davey in 2015 as a sales arborist at the Buffalo office and in 2019 was promoted to assistant district manager. He is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist ® , a Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), a New York Commercial Pesticide Applicator and holds a degree from State University of New York's College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry. Kris Bruestle has been promoted to market manager, Ohio River Valley operations, R/C services. Bruestle joined Davey in 2006 as a project manager for DRG. In 2009, he joined R/C services in the Columbus office and worked his way through a series of leadership promotions in tree care, plant health care and landscaping. In 2016, Bruestle was promoted to sales arborist and in 2017 was promoted to district manager of Davey's West Columbus R/C office. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® , a 2012 D.I.T.S. graduate and holds a bachelor's degree in conservation biology from the University of Idaho. Brian Chromey Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. Andrew Cunniff Northlands R/C operations Brian Chromey has been promoted to vice president of operations, Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., (WSSI) a Davey company. Chromey has been with WSSI for 25 years. In his new role, he will have overall responsibility for WSSI's performance and operations. He previously served as a regional vice president and before that was director of engineering. Chromey holds a bachelor's degree in urban systems engineering from George Mason University and is a licensed professional engineer in 18 states. Andrew Cunniff has been promoted to market manager, Northlands operations, R/C services. Cunniff joined Davey in 2004 as a multi-season intern at the Albany office. In 2014, following career development in account management, sales and supervision, Cunniff was promoted to district manager of the Buffalo office. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® and a TCIA CTSP. Cunniff graduated from Paul Smith's College with an associate degree in urban tree management and a bachelor's degree in landscape contracting from State University of New York - Cobleskill. Anna Davis has been promoted to vice president of human resources. Davis joined Davey in 2002 as an employee records specialist. Since then, she has worked in or led every element of Davey's Human Resources Department. In 2018, she was promoted to director of human resources administration. Davis will assume leadership for the corporate recruiting and employee development group, as well as continuing her responsibilities for the overall administration, coordination and execution of human resources functions. She is a current member of the Davey President's Council. Davis earned her bachelor's degree in business and organizational communi- cations from the University of Akron, and in 2008 she earned a master's degree of business administration from Kent State University.
