HURRICANE ISAIAS IMPACTS
UTILITY, R/C AND DRG CLIENTS
Hurricane Isaias reached Category 1 status and delivered
heavy damage to the eastern U.S. – prompting storm
recovery responses from all of Davey's service lines.
Eastern Utility services experienced the heaviest demand
for crews with 515 employees responding to clients in the
Northeast. There, Davey Resource Group (DRG) supported
the response to utility clients.
Residential/Commercial (R/C) operations also rushed to
respond to clients throughout the mid-Atlantic. Isaias made
landfall in the U.S. on Aug. 3 in North Carolina.
NORTHEAST UTILITY CLIENTS CALL FOR AID
At the height of the storm response Davey employees
worked in the Northeast for utility clients National Grid,
JCP&L, and PSE&G. Crews traveled from nearby
Pennsylvania and Ohio but also as far away as Tennessee,
Florida and South Carolina to render aid to our on-site
crews in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode
Island. The utility response included employees from Wolf
Tree, a Davey company.
