5 September/October 2024 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN BRAND GROWTH FIELD FACILITY ASSESSMENTS OPTIMIZE WORK ENVIRONMENTS As part of the Davey Strategic Plan Vision 2030, Davey is focusing on assessing and improving fi eld facilities to ensure they are great places to work. Following investments in the corporate offi ce and SEED (Science, Employee Education & Development) Campus, the company's focus is shifting to fi eld locations to align with long-term business objectives. Led by Molly Senter, director of property, this initiative aims to enhance Davey facilities across key areas: • Strategic Alignment: Ensuring company facilities support strategic objectives and goals. • Safety and Compliance: Verifying all facilities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Capital Planning: Prioritizing future capital investments to allocate resources effectively. • Asset Management: Increasing the lifespan and functionality of company properties. Mark Svozil, vice president and general manager, Commercial Landscape Services, said, "Ensuring we optimize our facilities is crucial to our team performance, productivity and well-being." Jed Day, executive vice president, U.S. Residential Operations, added, "These assessments will help us continue to create a safe, effi cient, and more consistent work environment for employees." The initial assessments are focused on 40-plus Davey-owned Residential/Commercial services, Commercial Landscape Services, and Fleet Shop facilities in the U.S. YOU SHOULD KNOW how our employees can get involved with employee- ownership at Davey and explore career opportunities." Scott Heim, vice president, Northeast operating group, R/C services, said, "We are excited that VanCuren and Midwest employees are joining Davey because they share Davey's same values. With our Science, Employee Education and Development (SEED) Campus opening next year, employees will be able to receive top-notch training and educational resources right here in Northeast Ohio." Welcome to the Davey family! VanCuren Services, Inc. and Midwest Land Clearing, Inc. of Newbury, Ohio have joined the Davey family of brands. VanCuren has provided comprehensive residential, commercial and utility tree care needs for Northeast Ohio and surrounding states since 1986. Midwest provides land clearing services for Northeast Ohio. VanCuren and Midwest's employees will continue to work as a part of Davey's Residential/Commercial (R/C) service line.
