STEWARDSHIP We make the world around us better. DIGITAL BULLETIN OPTION AVAILABLE A new, digital delivery option is now available to current Davey employees. Active employees can now choose their preference for a digital delivery option for the Bulletin by updating your profi le information in SuccessFactors. By choosing the digital delivery option, employees who do so would no longer receive a printed copy of the Bulletin in the mail. You can update your delivery preference at any time by logging in to SuccessFactors. This new digital delivery option will help us to live our company value of Stewardship. Each employee who chooses to receive a digital issue of the Bulletin helps reduce the associated carbon emissions related to delivering print copies, and you are helping us lower our paper consumption. It's important to note that, in order to receive a digital Bulletin issue, you must have a valid email address on fi le with the company. Active employees can turn to page 24 for instructions on how to go digital with your Bulletin issues. REMEMBERING JOHN DAVEY This year marks a century since John Davey's passing in November of 1923. One-hundred years after his death, his legacy lives on. The small tree care company he founded in Kent in 1880 is now a billion-dollar company with more than 11,000 employees throughout North America. Throughout 2023, the Bulletin will recognize this milestone and honor the Father of Tree Surgery's memory by sharing bits of John Davey trivia in each issue. Turn to the back cover to read this issue's "Did You Know?" about John Davey. CORPORATE ADDITION OPENS IN KENT The new third wing addition to the corporate offi ce in Kent, Ohio, is open. Employees celebrated the opening of the third wing with retirees and community leaders in November. The new space offers close to 40,000 square feet of additional offi ce workspace and collaborative meeting space to allow the Davey Company's operations support groups to continue to grow and serve the fi eld. Turn to page 14 to learn more. BREAKING GROUND ON THE FUTURE Members of the Davey Company's leadership team and project partners from The Ruhlin Company and SmithGroup broke ground on the new Davey SEED (Science, Employee Education & Development) Campus in November. While the more than 175-acre property will offer a host of training facilities to be developed over several years, the target completion date for the main building is late 2024.
