20 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | January/February 2018 MY DAVEY SPOTLIGHT ON UNMATCHED CLIENT EXPERIENCES What's your favorite part of the job? If you're like most Davey employees, it's the people. The coworkers who greet you every day, make sure you stay safe and laugh with you along the way. And the clients you meet, keep happy and work with year after year. You collaborate with your team to deliver an unmatched experience to every client. That's what working at Davey is all about. Take, for example, Joel Twist, the assistant district manager in Atlanta, Georgia, Residential/Commerical services. Twist started at Davey in 2001, a week after graduating college. "I really enjoy working here, with these crews, this leadership and my clients. Davey is a good company to be with," Twist said. He's happy at his job and believes that is key to delivering the best client experience. "When you're meeting with clients, that passion shines through. I enjoy what I do, and they see that. Creating excellent client experiences – that's our job. It's right up there with safety. We have to strive to be the best at anything and everything we do," Twist said. Recently, Twist visited a client, Stan Clay, to remove a large red oak and loblolly pine. Jerry Cole was the foreman for the job while Marcelo Garfias Cortes and Devon Lucabaugh assisted. "It takes a team effort to create an experience like this. Everyone involved makes an impact. It's the arborists, the foreman, the crew, the client experience coordinators – it's all of us!" Twist said. Clay sent in pictures of the job along with his Davey Care card, on which he rated his experience a 10 out of 10. To begin, Jerry Cole, foreman, takes a closer look at this red oak.
