CLS GETS GRAND AWARD FOR AKRON CHILDREN'S WORK
Davey's Cleveland East CLS territory can now boast of
their award-winning landscape care services provided at
the Akron Children's Hospital campus in Akron, Ohio.
The team recently received a Grand Award from the
National Association of Landscape Professionals for their
work on the property, which welcomes tens of thousands
of patients each year. A dedicated, four-person crew works
on-site daily from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. performing routine
landscape maintenance, including mowing turf, pruning
trees and shrubs, infusing annual color, clearing snow in
winter months and other work.
"Davey's grounds crew is proud of their role in making
Akron Children's Hospital a beautiful, safe space for children
and their families to enjoy during their visit," said Dan Joy,
executive vice president and general manager, Commercial
services. "We believe our landscapes contribute to the
pleasing, kid-friendly experience for patients, families
and visitors."
Care for this special site goes beyond paid grounds
maintenance for our crews. During the holiday season,
