THE DAVEY BULLETIN
A SMALL-TOWN FEEL
The Care of Trees-Dulles (TCOT) office showed their patriotic spirit during
the Fourth of July parade in Leesburg, Virginia.
This was the first year the office participated in the parade, said Steve Nagy,
assistant district manager. Nagy said the volunteers thought they came
prepared, but they ran out of their supplies halfway through the parade.
Nagy said it was great to do something with his co-workers outside of the
office for a good cause.
"It was nice to be part of their community celebration," he said.
Nagy says he plans to participate in the parade next year.
"And we'll buy more candy," he said.
The Dulles office decked out a bucket truck with an American flag hanging off the front and back.

DAY OF SERVICE DEDICATED TO
CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
Davey's Cape Cod office conducted
their Arbor Day of Service project at
the Cape Cod Children's Museum,
which is an interactive activity and
learning center for children.
"It's pretty cool," said Natascha
Batchelor, district manager.
Davey's Cape Cod office dedicated their
Arbor Day of Service project to the Cape Cod
Children's Museum by providing a variety of
tree care services.
"
When I'm out doing
my job, I want to give
Davey a good name
in how I treat our
clients. Our client
experience is and
must remain the
greatest experience
in the industry. That's
how I want to be
known by my clients.
Plus, as an employee
owner, I want to see
the company reach
our Vision 20/20 goal
– and I want to play
a part in helping us
get there.

OWNER'S BOX
Batchelor said the Arbor Day of
Service is a state-wide event consisting
of small and large projects developed
and facilitated by members of the
Massachusetts Arborist Association.
The crew pruned trees and shrubs
near the museum's entrance, pruned
trees between the main road and
parking lot for large deadwood, cabled
and braced an oak tree and cut back
overgrowth on the perimeter of the
property and parking lot, Batchelor said.
The Cape Cod office also made a
monetary donation to the organization
at a fundraising event.
