ABOUT DAVEY HISTORY
Bob Meoak, district manager, Cincinnati
R/C office, with one of the Canadian
cherry trees planted at Dale Park.
The Mariemont Community Planning Team learned more
about The Davey Tree Expert Company from Bob Meoak,
district manager, Cincinnati R/C office, at its meeting in April.
Meoak covered the history of Davey Tree nationally and in
the greater Cincinnati area. He also spoke about the value
of trees in urban areas.
The mayor and other village officials from Mariemont and
officials from two other communities were in attendance,
Meoak said.
Davey also donated two Canadian cherry trees and planted
them at Dale Park in the village as part of the community's
Arbor Day celebration, Meoak said.
Two October Glory maples planted by the Davey Resource
Group on Arbor Day added a new focal point at an empty
lot in the borough of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Justin Evans, UVM lead specialist, said the trees were
planted to help the borough beautify the space.
Evans received help from his daughter Willow, 3, Ty
Buffington, UVM technician, Jeremy Ernst, project manager
UVM Northeast, and John Corbett, UVM technician. Roger
Cicerski, Mechanicsburg Borough manager, also attended
the planting.
