I started at Davey in 2009.
Since then, I've been a
Plant Health Care technician,
trimmer/climber, sales
arborist and now a district
manager. When I signed on,
the possibility to move up
in the company was really
important to me. In each
position I've worked since
then, I wanted to learn as
much as I could. Programs
like the Davey Institute of
Tree Sciences and the Davey
Personal Excellence seminar
also helped me do that.

Elaine Mattern
corporate office
Elaine Mattern has been promoted
to manager, brand integrity, at the
corporate office. Mattern started with
Davey in 1998 as a communications
specialist. In 2007, she became
a project manager, and in 2012 a
production manager. In 2014, she
was promoted to coordinator,
brand management.
Don Mercer has been promoted to
supervisor, Lower Mainland Utility.
Loren Nagy has been promoted to
mulch sales coordinator in the North
Central operating group.
Steve Nagy has been promoted to
assistant district manager of The
Care of Trees, a Davey company,
Dulles office.
Adam Passo has been promoted to
district manager of the Milwaukee
office. Passo started with Davey in
2005 as a trimmer trainee in the
Northwest Chicago R/C office. He
transferred to the Milwaukee office
in 2006 and held a variety of positions
before being promoted to sales
arborist in 2011. He is a 2008
graduate of D.I.T.S. and is an ISA
Certified Arborist.
Marc Pierre has been promoted to
account manager for the Orlando
Utilities, Orange County and Winter
Park accounts.
Matt Schaefer has been promoted
to assistant district manager of The
Care of Trees Barrington office.
Jon Schmidt has been appointed to
regional safety specialist.
David Taylor has been promoted
to sales arborist in the Southeast
Chicago R/C office.
Jeff Walton has been promoted to
district manager of the Dulles office.
Walton has nearly 20 years of
experience in the green industry,
including with The Care of Trees, a
Davey company, where he served as
sales arborist for more than 13 years.
Walton joined Davey in 2008 through
the TCOT merger with Davey. He is an
ISA Certified Arborist.
Terry White has been promoted
to sales arborist in the Cincinnati
R/C office.
