DONATIONS MADE PERSONAL
Christine Handley, client
experience coordinator, Long
Island R/C office, donated a bag of
Davey wooden key chains to non-profit
Splashes of Hope. Children volunteers put
their own personal touch on the key chains.
Non-profit Splashes of Hope
transformed some of Davey's donated,
wooden key chains into colorful
pieces of tiny art.
Christine Handley, client
experience coordinator,
Long Island
Residential/Commercial office, had
no idea her donated bag of log-shaped
pens and wooden key chains to
Splashes of Hope, a Davey client,
would transform into this.
"The kids put their own personal
touch on the key chains," Handley said.
"It was all very sweet."
Only Splashes of Hope – which is
devoted to creating customized mural
artwork for hospital environments and
social service facilities – would think
to turn a Davey keychain into a canvas.
It goes to show, a small gesture of a
donation can make a difference in the
eye and imagination of a child.
