Mark Bennett, district manager of the
Richmond, Virginia, R/C office, and
his team recently joined the Central
Virginia Nursery and Landscape
Association (CVNLA) to give back to
their respected client of 20 years:
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.
The Davey crew joined nearly 50
volunteers from the CVNLA for an
entire day of professional volunteer
work. The CVNLA is an organization
devoted to finding members within
the tree and landscape industry to
provide quality, affordable care to
central Virginians. Davey's Richmond
office has sponsored the CVNLA for
the last 15 years.
Davey's bucket truck crew included
Matthew Kuti, foreman, and Kristopher
Fugate, trimmer trainee, who spent
the day trimming dead wood and
structurally pruning the garden's many
tall trees. Davey and other tree care
companies completed thousands of
dollars' worth of free tree care.
"It was a give-back day to show
our appreciation for a key client,"
Bennett said.
