Encinitas, California
This year, Encinitas, California, achieved "Tree City USA" designation for the fourth time in a row. As part of their Arbor Day
celebration, senior consulting utility foresters from Davey Resource Group (DRG) led volunteers in planting 28 trees throughout
four of the city's parks. More than 35 volunteers of all ages contributed to the effort, planting a multitude of tree species,
including California sycamores, white elders, western redbud and coast live oaks.
" Days like this show what kind of community we are. We are not only in the city working to get a paycheck, but we also show we
care about trees and their benefits."
