The Big Picture
November/December 2015 | 29
After working remotely with Davey Resource
Group (DRG) employees based in Kent, Ohio,
some individuals from Wetland Studies and
Solutions, Inc. (WSSI)'s key leadership team
and technical divisions made their first trip to
Davey's corporate office since Davey acquired
WSSI in April 2014. The visit provided the WSSI
visitors the opportunity to learn more about
Davey history, tour the corporate campus and
put faces to names. The trip included a review
of DRG's performance and strategic plan and
growth initiatives. WSSI visitors, pictured from

Ken Joehlin (DRG) and Brian Chromey.
Davey welcomes a new team to the company's
native landscape restoration and management
service offerings. Employees of Conservation
Land Stewardship, Inc., joined Davey in August
to contribute to Davey's service reach in the
upper Midwest. Conservation Land Stewardship,
Inc., founded in 1999, provided comprehensive
ecosystem restoration, construction and stew-
ardship services in the greater Chicago area.
Conservation Land Stewardship ("CLS"), LLC,
a newly formed subsidiary of Wetland Studies
and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI), will service these
new clients and help Davey and WSSI become
more firmly involved in the natural resource
marketplace. Based in Elmhurst, Illinois, CLS
serves clients in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin
and Iowa. (Four of CLS' 20 employees,

nator; Nazario Rivas, production manager;
Barb Koulogeorgas, administrative assistant;
and Christina Somheil, office administrator.)
