In Memoriam Retiree F. Lester Yost passed away on Dec. 19, 2014. He retired from Davey in 1990 as assistant district manager of the Akron-Kent territory. Yost had 43 years of service with the company. 26 | March/April 2015 Bob Meoak passed his Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA) Exam late last year. He is now district manager at the Cincinnati R/C office. Davey People In the Spotlight Jim Zwack was elected Trustee Emeritus of the TREE Fund at its board meeting in December 2014. He joined TREE Fund as liaison to the Minnesota Chapter ISA, served as trustee for more than 10 years, chaired several committees and continues to support the TREE Fund cause. Scott Hyland was named one of the 2015 recipients of the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award (DSMA) by the Akron/Canton affiliate of Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI). Lupe Salamasina retired following 19 years of service. He was a climber on the San Diego Gas & Electric account. Ale Tino retired following 33 years of service. He was a climber on the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) account. Tino began his Davey career on the Southern California Edison account in 1982. He also worked on the Pacific Gas & Electric account and the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power account during his time with the company. Tino supervised crews on the Hawaii Electric account for one year as well. "We wish Ale all the best in retirement," says Brian Friedrich, account manager on the SDG&E account.
