Transitions Nichole Arnett has been appointed to motor carrier safety administrator. Denise Broyles has been promoted to manager of financial accounting. Broyles joined Davey in 1995. In her previous role as supervisor of financial accounting, Broyles played a significant role in improving Davey's monthly and year-end close processes. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration from Malone University. Jaymis Kenney has been promoted to general foreman on the Duke Power account. Adam Klein has been promoted to district manager at the Crystal Lake office. Klein started his career in 2000 at the Crystal Lake office as a trimmer, later becoming a crew leader and then moving to sales, his most recent position. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and is an ISA certified arborist. Sam Massey has been promoted to general foreman on the Orlando Utilities account. Mark Noark has been promoted to manager of recruiting and training. Noark has held a variety of positions in the field and the corporate office since he began his Davey career in 1984. He moved to the corporate office as recruiter/trainer in 2003 and was Davey People promoted to recruiting/training coordinator in 2009. Noark graduated from DITS in 1997, and he graduated from Davey's Advanced Arborist Training in 1998. Marcus Parker has been promoted to district manager at the Southeast Chicago office. Parker began his Davey career in 1999 at the Seattle R/C office. He transferred to the South Chicago office in 2001 and was promoted to sales arborist in 2007. When Davey expanded to the south Chicago suburbs, Parker joined the Southeast Chicago team. He is an ISA certified arborist, and he has also graduated from DITS. John Rettig has been appointed to branch manager at the Colorado Springs territory. Rettig has been active in the green industry since 1996, when he began his career as an arborist in Germany. He brings to Davey a strong green industry background and knowledge of the Colorado Springs market. Rich Wiland has been promoted to sales arborist at the Naples office. Mark Noark Adam Klein Retirements Bob Hoover retired following seven years of service with Davey. He was a project manager for Davey Resource Group. Jeffrey Matheney retired following 32 years of service. He was a sales arborist at the Atlanta office. Matheney began his Davey career at the Indianapolis R/C office. He also worked at the New Jersey R/C office before joining Atlanta R/C in 1988. "Jeff has developed amazing relationships with his clients and fellow employees," says District Manager Chris Heim. "I really admire Jeff's dedication to this company." Bal Rao retired following 37 years of service. He was the manager of research at the Davey Institute. R.J. Laverne (pictured left), Davey's manager of education and training, recognizes Rao during the 2014 Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (DITS) banquet. The event marked the end of Rao's last DITS during his Davey career. George Rutledge retired following 34 years of service. He was a mechanic at the North Carolina shop. Marcus Parker Denise Broyles John Rettig In Memoriam Retiree Jimmy Joyce passed away on Oct. 5, 2014. Joyce retired in 2006 following 34 years of service.
