Putting a Face With a Name
F
irst impressions matter. It was the first time
a few office coordinators (OCs) visited
Davey's corporate offices when Commercial
Landscape Services (CLS) invited its OCs to
Kent, Ohio, for refresher training sessions.
Representatives from several departments,
including human resources, accounts payable,
accounts receivable and billing, as well as
internal reporting and legal, presented their
responsibilities to the group. They suggested
areas for improvement, as well as ways OCs
and corporate departments can work
together to improve day-to-day tasks.
"A majority of the OCs had not been to the
Kent campus before," explains Bev Buckley,
CLS operations administrator. "It was nice to
put a face with the name of the person you
speak with daily or weekly."
