Putting a Face With a Name F irst impressions matter. It was the first time a few office coordinators (OCs) visited Davey's corporate offices when Commercial Landscape Services (CLS) invited its OCs to Kent, Ohio, for refresher training sessions. Representatives from several departments, including human resources, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing, as well as internal reporting and legal, presented their responsibilities to the group. They suggested areas for improvement, as well as ways OCs and corporate departments can work together to improve day-to-day tasks. "A majority of the OCs had not been to the Kent campus before," explains Bev Buckley, CLS operations administrator. "It was nice to put a face with the name of the person you speak with daily or weekly." Attendees included: Sarah Sherrow and Cathie Winter, Alexandria/DC; Edita Martinez, Baltimore; Linda Liford, Cincinnati; Pam Rinehart, Cleveland East; Angela Bova, Cleveland West; Kimberly Hooker, Colorado Springs; Brenda McClellan, Columbus West; Becca Ellis and Noelle Swope, Detroit Southwest and Detroit North; Mary Shafor, Golf North; Teressa Lorinchack and Ruth Ruthorford, Government Projects; Esther Stafford, Indianapolis; Michele Lobos, Montgomery Co.; Amy Hallett, Orlando; and Linda Herrmann, Wooster. Mickey Carney, Columbus East; Yvonne Arrensault, Golf North; Julie Richens, Jacksonville; and Lori Schulz, Tampa, could not attend the training.
