It may be hard to imagine that a park like that would lose any of its magic, but when Davey's San Francisco and East Bay R/C offices heard this was happening, they set out to spruce up the park and bring that magic back. Crews from Davey, along with the Western Chapter of the ISA and the Britton Fund, spent a weekend in March assessing and pruning the park's trees. The weekend was part of the ninth annual Volunteer Work Day & Arbor Camp. Eight employees from Davey spent the first day at Fairyland assessing the existing tree trunks for decay using a resistance drill. The following day, Davey's crew began safety pruning.
