N
eed tree care advice? Tune in!
This spring, district managers and
assistant district managers from Davey's three
Pittsburgh-area R/C offices began sharing
landscape tips on Pittsburgh's KDKA,
NewsRadio 1020 station. At 7:30 a.m. every
other Sunday through this summer and fall,
listeners can learn about different tree care
topics for homeowners. Discussions include
emerald ash borer emergence, how to plant a
tree and ways to prepare trees for summer storms.
South Pittsburgh District Manager Miles
Stephens describes his experience on the show.
"It was interesting to sit in a studio and watch
how a radio program happens," he says. "It
reminded me of years ago when I lived in
Atlanta and I was an extra for the show 'In
the Heat of the Night.' I found it really fasci-
nating to check out all the sets and see how
they get it done."
