Emerald Ash Borer Management
With the staggering fact that the
emerald ash borer (EAB) has killed
100 million trees since 2002, Davey
has taken the initiative to educate
managers of ash trees about proactive
pest management approaches. The
emerald ash borer was discovered in
Colorado in 2013. As a result, Davey
partnered with Denver Parks and
Recreation and the Colorado Forest
Service to offer a one-day seminar on
EAB management. With firsthand
knowledge of the pest and management
strategies, it was a natural fit for
Davey to become a thought leader
in the local Colorado community.
