OUR HISTORY
Our story starts in 1880 in Kent,
Ohio, with a man named John
Davey. He was passionate about
trees and landscape preservation,
becoming Kent's "tree man" and spreading the
message that trees provide tremendous benefits
and can flourish with scientific care.
The year 1979 witnessed the birth of employee
ownership at Davey. Today, Davey ranks as the
fifth-largest 100 percent employee-owned
company in the United States.
With operations throughout North America, our
branches have expanded, but our commitment to
scientifically-based horticultural and environmen-
tal services and outstanding client service has
never wavered.
