The Davey President's Council welcomed
four new members for 2026. New
members include Jason Bassler,
regional manager, Midwest division,
Commercial Landscape Services (CLS);
T.J. Mascia, vice president, Davey
Mitigation, Davey Resource Group
(DRG); Craig Ritter, operations manager,
Mid-Atlantic Operating Group,
Residential/Commercial (R/C) Services;
and Sean Sornberger, vice president,
Pole Services, Davey Tree Surgery
Company.

FOUR JOIN PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL
Covey, meets twice annually in June
and October. Council members are
nominated by their peers and
management to serve a three-year
term, and they represent all areas of
the company. They participate in
employee engagement, company
operations and community service
activities, which provide a unique
opportunity for Council members to
gain a deeper understanding of the
company's goals and objectives,
challenges and vision while cultivating
long-term relations, inter-company
awareness and cooperation, and
personal growth.
DAVEY PEOPLE
Fred Johnson, retiree, passed away June 21, 2026. Johnson retired as corporate
vice president of operations at the corporate offi ce, after 14 years of service. He
joined Davey in 1999 as manager of operations support services. In 2001, he
was promoted to vice president of operations support services, and in 2003, he
became a company offi cer. With more than 30 years of experience developing and
implementing long-range plans and budgets for diverse groups within the corporate
structure, Johnson's primary focus at Davey was managing corporate support
functions including safety, fl eet and purchasing.
