THE DAVEY BULLETIN
DID YOU KNOW DAVEY DOES...
Davey's come a long way since our
founding in 1880. And while we've
remained true to our roots and to our
core tree care services, over the past
146 years, our service diversity has
expanded at an amazing rate.
It's not uncommon to hear folks, even
experienced employees, say "I didn't
know Davey does that!"
In this issue, the Bulletin is trying out
a new feature called "Did you know
Davey does..." Our goal is to help
enlighten employees as to all the
different services we offer our clients.
Turn to page 7, and maybe you'll learn
about something Davey does that you
didn't know we do!
NEIGHBORS TO THE NORTH
This issue is packed full of great sto-
ries from our colleagues in Canada.
For starters, take a look at what's on
the cover. The Canada rail and utility
teams share their story of collabora-
tion that shows how working together
leads to positive outcomes for all. Turn
to page 6 to learn some lessons that
we can all benefi t from.
This summer, the world watched as
the World Cup riveted soccer fans
and non-fans alike. And a special rela-
tionship with Major League Soccer®
(MLS) Canada created an opportunity
for Davey Canada employee Tyler
Swaine to be featured in a World Cup
promo video. Turn to page 10 for a QR
code to watch the video.
And there's an incredible story out of
Vancouver on page 22. Check it out!

exceptions.
Davey Chairman, President and CEO
Pat Covey explains why our mission
is key to building the kind of trusting,
long-lasting relationships that make
Davey a success in his Ask the CEO
column in this issue.
Turn to page 4 for Pat's advice on what
it means to exceed client expectations
and why it's so important.
HELPING THOSE IN NEED
Two of my personal favorite stories in
this issue highlight employees who
gave back to their communities in
ways that make a difference for those
who may need a helping hand the
most.
The Concord Hartney Greymont offi ce
helps a local non-profi t farm that grows
food to help fi ght food insecurity in the
region. Turn to page 8 for the story.
In Jacksonville, Florida, 37 tons of
mulch from line clearance operations
were used to support vegetable gar-
dens at a local school serving students
in underserved Jacksonville communi-
ties. Turn to page 15 for the story.
Davey employees are exceptional at
recognizing when someone could use
some support and lending a helping
hand. Has your offi ce made a differ-
ence in your community? Tell us about
it! Email your story to us at
