14 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | July/August 2026 EXPERTISE During this year's Season of Learning campaign on Davey- Connect in February, employees were encouraged to invest in themselves by leveling up in Davey's Learning Manage- ment System (LMS). Jeremiah Goodman, environmental specialist, Wetland Stud- ies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company; Theresa Orapello, DAVEY ONLINE TRAINING HELPS EMPLOYEES BE THEIR BEST client experience coordinator, Rockland offi ce, Residential/ Commercial (R/C) services; and Tristan Sharon, plant health care coordinator, Southwest Milwaukee offi ce, R/C; had the highest LMS participation out of all fi eld employees during the Season of Learning. Here's what two of them had to say about their LMS experience: Which LMS courses have you found the most benefi cial? Some of my favorite courses were made by Adam Baker (research entomologist), Audrey Benz (technical advisor), and Chelsi Abbott (technical advisor). In their courses, they do deep dives into pests and diseases, including diagnosis of signs and symptoms and their life cycles. Why do you make LMS courses a priority? There are videos that go over leadership, communication, and management skills that I have found very useful in my current role. I'm responsible for helping my technicians have a positive work environment and for keeping morale high, whether I am resolving confl icts, lending a hand, leading by example or allocating tasks, and these trainings help me do that. Why do you think other employees should invest time in LMS courses? There's always room for improvement in and outside the workplace, whether that be communication skills, general knowledge, emotional intelligence or just learning new things that pertain to the fi eld of work. If someone feels like they need to work on communication, there are courses for that. Or, if they want to work on safe practices, there are courses for that too. These courses are applicable to everyone. Tristan Sharon plant health care coordinator, Southwest Milwaukee offi ce, R/C Which LMS courses have you found the most benefi cial? I appreciated the Legal Contract Review Process course because it provided a clear and comprehensive understanding of the contract review process. The training enhanced my knowledge of key legal review procedures and equipped me with the skills needed to complete the Legal Review Cover Sheet accurately and effectively. Why do you make LMS courses a priority? LMS courses provide a deeper understanding of complex subjects that I encounter in my position and help me develop the knowledge and skills I need to perform more effectively in my role. LMS covers a wide range of topics from learning about our company stock to HazMat Safety and Spill training. It also helps with interpersonal skills such as communication with others, problem solving, time management, taking initiative and stress management. Why do you think other employees should invest time in LMS courses? These courses are valuable learning resources that enhance understanding of specifi c topics, broaden professional knowledge and support continuous personal and professional development. Investing a few minutes in the LMS platform pays off immediately and is an investment in your personal growth and valuable skills that belong to you. Theresa Orapello client experience coordinator, Rockland offi ce, R/C EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM GETS UPGRADES Davey's enhanced Employee Referral Program is now live on DaveyConnect.
