For the "Swing for the Trees" program with the MLB Cleveland Guardians, 30 trees were planted along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in East Cleveland with help from 14 Davey volunteers. With the Green Sports Alliance Summit 2026 in Cleveland, volunteers from Davey also mulched trees and cleaned up around Thurgood Marshall Green park in Cleveland. Brodie Haekel, foreman, and Rachel Zabel, groundperson, showcased their tree climbing skills to over 1,000 students, teachers, support staff and parents in Strathcona County, Alberta, Canada. At the event, students also participated in nature walks with the arborists, learned about fire prevention and how to save a tree and took home their own seedling. CANADA
