We added the development of an AI policy to the Davey
Strategic Plan Vision 2030 in 2025 because tech companies
are rapidly pursuing its advancement and implementation.
A survey sent to Davey
employees in 2025 showed many
employees are interested in
finding ways to use it, so we are
working to develop a policy that
is intended to keep us abreast
of the latest developments in AI.
Our AI policy is now available
for employees to review.
Employees are encouraged
to review the policy so that
everyone knows the expectations
for AI use at Davey.
I want everyone to know that
one of our primary goals in
developing this AI policy was to
encourage employees to apply
AI creatively and responsibly to
your work. Now that the policy
is published, our goal is for you
to be able to refer to it if you
have any questions or need guidance on how to make the
most of AI. When it comes to AI use, we want to provide
you the support you need to maximize AI as a supplemental
tool to help you thrive in your role here at Davey.

truly make a meaningful impact
on how we fulfill our mission to
exceed client expectations. And if
it can improve the ways we serve
our clients, then we absolutely
owe it to them and to ourselves
to evaluate its use in that way and
learn how we can leverage it.
Second, we know our employees
are already starting to experiment
with AI software. And there are a
variety of different AI tools avail-
able, so it's important we provide
some guardrails and best practices
for our employees to consider
so that they are not stepping
into a brave, new world without
advice on how to navigate it. That
may range from cybersecurity
protocols, making sure we protect
sensitive data, to recommenda-
tions on the best available platform
for our applications.
Third, we want to leverage our size as a nearly $2 billion
company with more than 12,000 employees to ensure we
