We added the development of an AI policy to the Davey Strategic Plan Vision 2030 in 2025 because tech companies are rapidly pursuing its advancement and implementation. A survey sent to Davey employees in 2025 showed many employees are interested in finding ways to use it, so we are working to develop a policy that is intended to keep us abreast of the latest developments in AI. Our AI policy is now available for employees to review. Employees are encouraged to review the policy so that everyone knows the expectations for AI use at Davey. I want everyone to know that one of our primary goals in developing this AI policy was to encourage employees to apply AI creatively and responsibly to your work. Now that the policy is published, our goal is for you to be able to refer to it if you have any questions or need guidance on how to make the most of AI. When it comes to AI use, we want to provide you the support you need to maximize AI as a supplemental tool to help you thrive in your role here at Davey. A. There are three primary reasons why we are developing an AI policy here at Davey, and like all of our initiatives that are part of our strategic planning, it is meant to help us best serve our employees, clients and shareholders. First and foremost, AI has great promise and potential to truly make a meaningful impact on how we fulfill our mission to exceed client expectations. And if it can improve the ways we serve our clients, then we absolutely owe it to them and to ourselves to evaluate its use in that way and learn how we can leverage it. Second, we know our employees are already starting to experiment with AI software. And there are a variety of different AI tools avail- able, so it's important we provide some guardrails and best practices for our employees to consider so that they are not stepping into a brave, new world without advice on how to navigate it. That may range from cybersecurity protocols, making sure we protect sensitive data, to recommenda- tions on the best available platform for our applications.
