THE DAVEY BULLETIN
Over a dozen employees put their strong climbing skills and talent to the test in the various
International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Tree Climbing Championships hosted across the
nation over the past few months by local ISA chapters. Two Davey climbers even placed in the
top three in several events at their respective competitions.
CLIMBING COMPETITION ROUNDUP
Pictured are the nine climbers who participated in the
International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Rocky Mountain
Chapter's 2025 Tree Climbing Championship: Abby Alm,
Matt Downing, Tyler Eide, Austin Haskett, Ian Holcomb,
Jack Mazzone, Jessica Orozco, Ryan Pinto and
Jake Sickmond.
Alm finished second in the women's division and will
represent the chapter and Davey at the 2026 North
American Tree Climbing Championship (NATCC). Alm also
placed first in the throwline event and second in the ascent,
work climb and aerial rescue events.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN
Blake Duval (right), arborist skills trainer, Davey Institute,
placed third in Masters' Challenge at the New England
ISA's Tree Climbing Championship. Duval also placed first
in the aerial rescue event, second in the ascent event and
third in the throwline event.
Hartney Greymont, a Davey company, had two competitors:
Caleb Fritz (left), tree care coordinator, Needham,
Massachusetts, office; and Cory Rebello (center), foreman,
Cape Cod, Massachusetts, office.
